December nymph

When the tendrils of cold
Touched those stiff feet
They lost the ground
They gained.

December chill called to them
Like the sultry siren’s call
In the middle of sea
To awaken chaos again.

Hark! Oh ye mariners
Listen to the voice
Deep within
It knows. It knows.

Covered by fog
Surrounded by mist
The stars shall guide you
To the island of peace.

Hear, oh young mariners
The lurid songs
The love cold
Shall pass. Shall pass.

Let the cold air
Ravage your body
Resist those idle thoughts
Sung by the nymphs.

Be vulnerable
Go the seas
Listen to them
Fall for it.

Rise above, find yourself
Like the trees old
That put down their roots
Firm and strong.
