As a part of my doctoral research, I am conducting 3 focus groups discussions on Gender & Media in the month of June.
What is a Focus group? Simply put, Focus Group Discussion is a small group discussion where participants can share their opinions and perspectives on a particular topic. This Focus Group discussion is an attempt to understand the relationship between media content and understanding of one’s gender and identity, and the kind of peer group conversations media content can generate. There will be 8 participants in the FGD.
The plan is to conduct 3 FGDs with a total of 24 participants (8 participants in each FGD).
The first FGD — June 3, 2016
The second– June 10, 2016
The third– June 18, 2016
Time: 11 am
Off Road No. 1, Banjara Hills, Opposite GVK One, Hyderabad.
Apart from focus groups discussions, I also plan to conduct personal interviews with interested participants, in the second phase of research which will commence in August.
